It's day three in the Just For You blog hop! This month you'll have 19 chances to win the book, plus here on my blog I'm giving away a copy of the book plus fabric for 4 of the projects.
Kimberlee Turley is a dear friend of mine IRL (in real life) and this is the skirt that she designed (the Night Circus Skirt). She has been known to come over and hang out in my sewing studio, help me on projects, and give me advice on all kinds of sewing troubles. I was thrilled when she agreed to design a skirt for Just For You. Here's her official bio:
Kimberlee Turley graduated from the Fashion Institute of Design&Merchandising (San Francisco, CA) in 2003. She attributes her passion for sewing to watching Disney’s Sleeping Beauty daily as a child. In the scene where the fairies make Princess Aurora’s birthday dress, Flora cuts a circular hole in the middle of the fabric sheet, “For the feet to go through.” By the age of five, Kimberlee figured out the correct way to make a skirt and has been making costumes, clothes, and custom patterns ever since.
Kimberlee casually maintains a blog for her creative sewing and writing endeavors and that's where she's sharing more about her inspiration for the Night Circus Skirt and giving away a copy of Just For you. So go see what she has to say at Groundwire.
