I'm not an expert quilter... I like sewing clothes, purses, and little crafty things too much to spend all my time quilting. But this week I had a blast stitching together this quilt top from the Modern Bee book.
I used Amy Newbold's block pattern, but didn't put them together the way she did. Her quilt is much larger with 25 blocks (I made 9) and she has an interesting cross shape instead of borders like I made.
My borders are made with 4'' strips of unbleached muslin and 2 1/2'' squares of the leftover Riley Blake prints I used in the blocks. All of these fabrics except the muslin came from one of my favorite shops, The Cloth Parcel.
Okay, your turn. What have you been stitching up this week? I can't wait to see... so link up below! Remember you can link any photo from your blog, facebook, flickr, or even instagram. The most-clicked photo will get their own blog post here on the SewCanShe blog next Friday. :)
