Free sewing and quilting tutorials and patterns. Inspiration to help you sew every day!
from the SewCanShe blog...
Voila! 2 messenger bags from (almost) the same instructions! I did have to cut extra strap pieces so I could sew 2 straps instead of 1. But I still only used 1 yard of fabric. In fact, I used exactly 1 yard with no waste at all!
This easy, easy, easy messenger bag just folds over to close. Did I mention it's easy? Like perfect for your first sewing project ever. Or when you are tired of your purse and you want a new one in 20 minutes.
This week has been so amazing for me... even though school ended for my kids (mixed feelings about that!). I felt so inspired to sew after coming back from Spring Quilt Market plus I had new fabric and toys to play with... it was a perfect sewing storm!
Oh, and I'm going to try a Facebook live video at 11am EST today... don't you think Facebook live would be the perfect thing to go along with Show Off Saturday??? I'm imagining that it will be so much fun to show you these things in person - kind of, lol.
Handmade is beautiful. Handmade looks expensive. Handmade is what everyone wants. But do you sometimes feel like your sewing projects look more homemade than handmade?
There are ways you can change that. And they are all little things. It’s all in the details, my friends… the details!
I think I have saved my favorite patchwork project in this Colorful Patchwork Bags & Baskets blog hop for last... Lisa Cox's Flower Sugar Basket.
Hello from Salt Lake City! I'm here having way too much fun with my dear friend Heather Kubiak from Craft As Desired. She taught an amazing seminar this morning on Copyrights, Trademarks, and Patents as they apply to fabric, pattern, and quilt designers.. and quilt shops too. I had lots of fun being her 'wingman' (as she put it) and watching her wow the crowd.
I am totally thrilled to introduce you to three more of my favorite bloggers who are showing off projects they made for my Colorful Patchwork Bags and Baskets blog hop!
Clicks were crazy in this week's Show Off Saturday linky party, everyone wanted to see with this Cute Bucket Hat tutorial from Damjana at AppleGreen Cottage. Can you believe how easy it is to make your own bucket hat?!
Un-Tutorials are those sneaky pins that lead you to believe there's a tutorial behind them - and then there's not.
Now it's time for YOU to vote for the Un-Tutorial that I'll solve (aka write a new tutorial for) this month!
Will it be...
